Monday Mavens: Long Overdue Kudos and A Special Tribute
Maven: someone who is dazzlingly skilled in any field, a trusted expert, and seeks to pass knowledge on to others...
It has been a really long time since I have acknowledged the Mavens in my life. Not that they go unappreciated, but it is always nice to get a big shout out from time to time. So without further ado, here are my Monday Mavens...
Wifey, it goes without saying what you have meant in my life. I truly believe that we were sent to each other to do great things! I thank God everyday that the tiny little "what if" thought that we now know as The BlogRollers crept into our heads! YAY!
The lovely Felicia who is making fantastic strides toward her goal of being a life coach! You are a phenomenal woman and I am so proud of your progress. Thank you so much for having me as your Woman of the Month (and as your coach -hee hee). I am so honored!
Beth, you are stronger than you give yourself credit for. More often than not, you do the right thing. You are a beautiful force in this world. In the words of Morpheus from "The Matrix" - "Don't think you are, know you are!"
Tara and Joan, you both (like Wifey) are Mavens every day of my life...WORD!
My Disney Mocha Moms, words will never express how much I adore all of you! However, there is one of you that I would like to point out as a very special Maven. Not that you all are not truly special...but I know you will agree with me on this one...
I need to give an extra super special Maven shout out to our girl Latricia. Coming to Disney was a series of huge firsts for her. First time at Disney, okay...but first time on a an airplane (among other things)! She took all of her first...not with baby steps...with giant hopeful leaps! Anything that any of us had on our plates or in our glasses that looked good, she tried. No fear. No reservations. Just balls out! My favorite moment was dessert at Epcot where we were offered numerous dessert liquors and liqueurs in mini chocolate shot glasses (yes you could eat the glass!) She sat down in a chair with a satisfied grin saying "I just tried them all!" I was so proud of her the entire weekend! We all were. I was proud mostly because I have been around folks...grown-ass people...who just refuse to try anything new. Who turn their noses up at anything that isn't chicken fingers and fries. Not that I was expecting her to be that way but I guess I was expecting a bit of hesitation. She would have been well within her right to approach each situation timidly. No way... She was in it to win it! She won our hearts! I think she's been bitten by the bug so I suspect we will see more of her in real life...hopefully at Blogalicious! Love you, girl!

Thank you for the mention! I am honored to know you everyday!
Christie~you have influenced my life in so many ways. Every day you give me an "ah ha" moment. Thanks my friend for your guidance, inspiration and love. I'm so glad we are friends.
I know this wasn't the main idea of your post, but edible shot glasses? Yum!
Thank you so much for stopping by, and it sounds like you've got some wonderful people in your life!
I completely agree with you about Latricia! I think she amplified the experiences of the everyone else in the group. We were all so excited and happy for her and just watching her go for the gusto was infectious!
I am so glad that Latricia had such a great time. I know she had reservations about the flight but clearly she approached everything with and open mind and lived life to the fullest. Way to go girl!
Aww, thanks Christie! We are total destiny, girl! Great things are happening and I'm so glad that they are happening with you! Thanks for all you do ...
Love, Winks & Smiles,
Wifey
